Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFor the second time this month, the alert level was raised on a section of the volcano that comprises the Azores island of Terceira. Seismic activity has continued to increase month over month, with both the Santa Barbara volcano and the Terceira Fissural Volcanic System being placed at an alert level of V3. This video will discuss the ongoing volcanic unrest at the Terceira volcano through the opinion and analysis of a geologist. Note: This video's thumbnail image does NOT display the area where magma is shallowest (below ground). As a reminder: There is absolutely no reason to panic; the unrest at Terceira is still fairly weak despite the presence of at depth magma. Other unrest episodes have occurred beforehand, and most of these did not result in eruptions.
