BERKS COUNTY, Pa. — The driver involved in a collision with a UTV that killed two Walnuttown Fire Company chiefs on April 4 faces multiple charges.
Alexander Sepulveda-Rivera, 26, of the Bronx, New York, was taken into custody shortly after fleeing the crash scene, NBC Philadelphia reported. A department spokesperson said Sepulveda-Rivera was allegedly driving under the influence and without a valid license.

Sepulveda-Rivera was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, accidents involving death or injury while not licensed, reckless driving, involuntary manslaughter, careless driving resulting in unintentional death and related offenses.
Walnuttown Fire Chief Jeff Buck and Assistant Chief Robert Shick were riding in a UTV during a missing person search when they were struck.
First responders and community members from across the region gathered on April 5 for a procession to honor their lives and service. Buck and Shick joined the department when they were teenagers.
“The years of knowledge between Chief Jeff Buck and Assistant Chief Robert Shick cannot be replaced,” Lieutenant Ryan Tyson told WFMZ, “They both knew this building from the inside out more than anybody that’s here.”
