Is it Too Early to Think About Fall Decor? Because Joanna Gaines Just Dropped This Faux Foliage at Target, and I’m Obsessed Already

Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Buying the best seasonal decor is getting to be like shopping for swimwear: wait till it’s time to actually use them, and all the nicest stuff has sold out. Which is why I’ve got all eyes on the new fall range from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia that dropped this week at Target. Meteorologists are predicting a false fall for 2026, with heat-stressed trees shedding leaves early and nuts and berries ripening faster than normal. So surely I need to get my fall decor started early, too?

There's plenty to please plant-lovers in the new range, with pretty pleated ceramic vases and framed floral wall art in sepia shades, the cutest mushroom bookends and a cheeky brass pheasant that would look so sweet peeking from behind the fronds of a houseplant. But what's really caught my attention is all the fabulous faux fall foliage.

From shapely gingko leaves to golden yellow aspen and the prettiest red Pacific dogwood, the sunset foliage shades are rich without being too brazen, and realistic enough to cut the mustard. I like to pair fresh flowers with a few artificial foliage stems as it makes for such a quick and easy arrangement, and the warm tones of these poly leaves would pair perfectly with late-summer coneflowers, sneezeweed and black-eyed Susan. Decisions, decisions!

Pretty Stems in Vases

Is there an easier way to turn up the style dial in your home than with a simple vase and a few stems of seasonal foliage? I don't think so. Whether you stand an arrangement on a hallway table to welcome visitors as they step through the front door, or pop one on a sill to bring the colors of the season in through the window, this is such an easy win.

Versatile Wreaths and Garlands

Yes, a wreath is a lovely way to add some seasonality to your front door, but it's equally pretty hanging indoors. I'm a big fan of laying a wreath flat on a table or sideboard, then standing a simple jar of flowers in the centre. The same goes with a garland – by all means string it up, but it looks so stylish laid flat along a mantel, too.

Glorious Golden Stems

A few standalone stems are so useful to have when adding seasonal decor to your home. Tuck them into an informal bunch of fresh flowers in a ceramic jug to create a seasonal showstopper. Got family or friends coming over for a special fall mean? Lay a couple of sprays flat, stem-end to stem-end in the center of the table. You could snip individual twigs to twist into napkin rings, too.
