Last night on October 17th 2025, Kilauea produced its tallest lava fountains since 1959. These reached sustained heights of 1,500 feet, creating a roar that was easily audible from several miles away, sounding like the roar of a large waterfall. I filmed this while on vacation, so expect a longer segment on episode 35 of Kilauea's eruption once I return from my vacation in a week's time.
