Hawaii's Kilauea volcano just erupted, producing two simultaneous 1,100 foot high lava fountains. This occurred on Sunday, and lava fountains continued for a full 5 hours. Nearly an average of 500 cubic meters of basalt lava erupted every second, as part of Kilauea's episode 36 of cyclical eruptive activity. Today's video will discuss the eruption in question through the knowledge and analysis of a geologist.
