PHILIPPINES — Every group of travelers has one person who takes charge of the itinerary, creates the spreadsheets, compares hotels, checks transportation schedules, and keeps everyone on track. They are the travel planners—the often-unsung heroes who make group trips happen, yet rarely get thanked for it.

Who needs a vacation from planning vacations?
Klook is now giving these behind-the-scenes trip organizers the recognition they deserve with a global search for the world’s most underappreciated travelers. The travel platform is inviting people to nominate, or even self-nominate, a travel planner who deserves a vacation where they do not have to plan a single thing.
The campaign follows a Klook survey of 2,725 travelers across 10 markets, which found that travel planning is among the least-thanked things people do for others. More than eight in 10 travel planners said they spend more than 10 hours organizing a single group trip, yet their efforts often go unnoticed.
And the work does not necessarily stop once someone else takes over. According to the survey, 42.4% of travel planners admit to continuing to check and second-guess arrangements even when another person is handling the planning. In true travel-planner fashion, they remain quietly on standby, ready to step in when something goes wrong.
“Klook was created to simplify the task of travel planning so travelers can focus on the experiences their destinations have to offer,” said Michelle Ho, General Manager of Klook Philippines. “We are excited to exemplify that promise through a fully planned vacation awarded to five travel planners who always arrange perfect itineraries for their friends and family.”
“Group planners carry the weight of every trip on their shoulders. It’s finally their turn to take a vacation from planning,” she added.
A Vacation Where Someone Else Does the Planning
5 Travel Planners are getting promoted to pampered passengersFrom now until August 31, 2026, Klook is seeking five travel planners who are ready to hand over spreadsheets, group chats, bookings, and itineraries.
The selected winners will receive a seven-day hosted trip to Switzerland in December 2026, with one important condition: their only responsibility is to show up and enjoy the experience.
To nominate a deserving travel planner, applicants are encouraged to share a story about a time when that person became the glue holding a trip together. Whether they built an elaborate itinerary, coordinated everyone’s schedules, rescued a last-minute booking, or somehow kept the group calm when everything went off plan, these stories will help Klook understand why they deserve a break from planning vacations.
Applicants can also submit a 60-second video or provide a link to a TikTok, YouTube, or Google Drive video featuring the travel planner in action. It could showcase their legendary travel spreadsheets, chaotic group chats, detailed packing lists, or the unforgettable moment when they saved the trip while everyone else simply enjoyed the ride.
Finally, It’s Their Turn to Just Travel
For many groups, the travel planner is the person everyone relies on, but few people think to thank. They research destinations, compare flights and hotels, build day-by-day itineraries, check opening hours, organize transportation, and make sure everyone knows where they need to be and when.
Klook’s latest campaign turns the tables by giving these travelers the chance to experience a trip without worrying about what comes next.
Those who know a travel planner who deserves the ultimate break—or those who recognize themselves as the group’s unofficial travel coordinator—can join Klook’s search for the five lucky travelers who will head to Switzerland in December.
For more information and to submit a nomination, visit Klook’s Thank You, Travel Planners campaign page. The Klook app also offers travelers a convenient way to discover and book activities, attractions, transportation, and other experiences for their next adventure.
Because after spending countless hours making sure everyone else has a great trip, the travel planner deserves to be the one who simply packs a bag, shows up, and enjoys the journey.
