A major magnitude 7.6 earthquake just struck north of Antarctica, within the Drake Passage. This marks the 4th largest earthquake so far to strike in 2025, and was even felt by multiple individuals within Antarctica. Yet, the culprit of this quake was usual; it occurred deep within the interior of a former tectonic plate, representing an intraplate earthquake. Today's video will elaborate on this earthquake via the analysis and opinion of a geologist.
