Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA Baltimore County volunteer firefighter has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a fellow firefighter. According to Baltimore County Police, officers responded on May 5, 2026 to the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company in Randallstown for a reported sexual assault.
Investigators alleged that the assault occurred on May 2, 2026 and involved two volunteer firefighters, both of whom are members of the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company. Police identified the accused firefighter as 26-year-old Xavier Dove.
Following an investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest and took him into custody on May 22, 2026. Authorities stated that he was being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
WBALTV is reporting that Dove also serves as a career firefighter with Howard County Department of Fire & Rescue, and is currently on leave.
Chief Bernard Jones of the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Company issued a statement indicating the department became aware of the allegations earlier this month and referred the matter to the Baltimore County Police Department for investigation. Chief Jones stated that the member was “removed from all emergency and nonemergency operations” and that all departmental access and privileges were suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Chief Jones further stated that the department was “fully cooperating with investigators” and remained committed to “transparency, accountability, and the safety of the community we serve.” WBALTV has news video coverage that could not be embedded here. More on the story.
