Heavy rains are affecting Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, and Guangxi in southwestern China. Chongqing recorded up to 96.7 mm of rain, with 41.1 mm falling in one hour at one station. Intense downpours have caused localized flooding on streets and in low-lying areas. Guizhou and Guangxi have also been hit by torrential rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. The heavy rainfall has triggered flash-flood, landslide, and mudflow risks across mountainous areas.
