Fishermen and dolphins hunt together in Myanmar’s Irrawaddy River — a partnership so rare it’s almost unbelievable. Fewer than 70 dolphins remain. Along the Irrawaddy, families rely on rhythmic signals to call endangered dolphins that drive fish into their nets. This centuries-old cooperation supports livelihoods, traditions, and one of the world’s rarest human-wildlife alliances. The animals lure the fish out of their hiding places and then drive them towards the fishermen. The documentary film accompanies the fishermen in their extraordinary collaboration with the dolphins – an intense encounter between humans and animals.
