In an interview with Sky's Sarah-Jane Mee, Ockenden argues that her findings should be treated as "immediate and essential actions" rather than recommendations, warning that waiting months for a maternity action plan risks further harm to mothers and babies. The review, which examined the experiences of 2,511 families and heard from 838 staff members, uncovered systemic failures, cover-ups and serious concerns about patient safety at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
