A strong convective weather system affected northern China, bringing widespread thunderstorm activity. The most impacted area was the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, which behaved like a single connected storm zone. The main hazard was not heavy rain, but sudden and powerful wind gusts associated with thunderstorm fronts. These squalls formed in waves, repeatedly intensifying as storm cells moved across the region. Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei all experienced sharp, short-lived bursts of wind with brief calm periods in between. Rainfall was intermittent and secondary, mainly occurring alongside the wind rather than driving the system. Overall, the event was defined by unstable atmospheric conditions and rapidly changing, storm-driven wind patterns.
