A powerful series of earthquakes struck northern Venezuela, including two major tremors reaching a magnitude of 7.5. The shaking was felt in Caracas, La Guaira, Carabobo, Yaracuy, and other regions across the country. Many residents rushed out of buildings in panic, and large crowds quickly gathered in the streets. Residential homes, public buildings, roads, and infrastructure sustained damage in several areas. Operations at Simón Bolívar International Airport, the Caracas Metro, and parts of the transportation network were temporarily disrupted. Numerous aftershocks followed the main earthquakes, keeping affected communities on alert. Emergency crews continue to inspect buildings, assess damage, and monitor seismic activity across the country.
