This week, Mount Etna somewhat unexpectedly erupted anew, sending a plume of ash 5,000 feet above its summit. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the Lewotobi volcano reawakened, producing 7 explosions which ejected lava fragments after nearly 5 months of no eruptive activity. And, on France's Reunion Island, the eruption of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano entered its 3rd week. Today's video will discuss these stories through the opinion and analysis of a geologist and list the 43 world volcanoes that are actively erupting.
