Tropical Storm Hanna just formed about 850 miles east-northeast of Bermuda, becoming the eight named storm of the Atlantic season.

Hanna is no threat to land and is not expected to strengthen much due to wind shear surrounding it and dry air in its path.

Hanna has sustained winds of 45 mph and is moving east around 17 mph. Hanna will likely maintain tropical storm status for the next few days before weakening later this week.

Tropical Storm Fay weakened into a Tropical Depression and will weaken further as it moves south-southwest. Fay is forecast to become post-tropical on Tuesday with no impacts from this storm.

There has not been a single hurricane in the Atlantic Basin so far this season, setting a record for the latest hurricane formation.
