Typhoon Saudel has unleashed torrential rain across Fujian, causing widespread flooding in several areas. Extreme rainfall was recorded across the province, with a maximum of 496.6 millimeters in 24 hours. The deluge has disrupted roads, water infrastructure, and daily life across parts of Fujian. The Mulanxi River reached 10.05 meters, marking its first numbered flood of the year. Sixteen rivers across 11 counties rose above warning levels, while three exceeded guaranteed safety levels. Putian and Xianyou County have been among the hardest-hit locations, with water covering roads and streets.
