During a minor league matchup between the Las Vegas Aviators and the Sacramento River Cats, an unexpected moment of drama unfolded, not between players, but between an umpire and the team’s beloved bat dog, Finn. Known for faithfully retrieving bats with enthusiasm and precision, Finn was simply doing his job when the umpire stepped in and abruptly snatched the bat away at the last second, tossing it aside before the pup could reach it.

The crowd’s reaction was immediate. Boos erupted from the stands as fans rallied behind the disappointed dog. For a brief, heartwarming moment, supporters from both teams united, not over a score or a call, but in defense of a hard-working canine just trying to help.

Despite the awkward moment, Finn didn’t miss a beat. He trotted over and picked up the bat from where it landed, finishing his job like a true professional. Way to go, Finn, you’ve got the whole stadium cheering for you!
