Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA powerful winter storm swept across the United States, bringing heavy snow, deep snowdrifts, blizzards, and widespread freezing rain. More than 30 states were affected, with over 200 million people under winter weather alerts. Tennessee was among the hardest-hit states, where cities such as Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Knoxville saw 30–45 cm of snow, severe blizzard conditions, and temperatures down to −12°C. Mississippi also faced rare winter extremes, with 15–25 cm of snow, significant ice accumulation from freezing rain, and temperatures falling to −6°C. Ice and strong winds caused massive power outages, leaving more than 300,000 homes and businesses without electricity across the two states. Major highways, airports, public transport, and schools were closed due to dangerous conditions. Emergency services, National Guard units, and volunteers were deployed as roads became impassable and entire communities were isolated. Authorities warn that recovery will take weeks, as cold temperatures and ice continue to pose serious risks.
