LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter was injured after falling from a ladder while battling a house fire in the Arlington Heights neighborhood, officials said.

The blaze was reported just before 5:15 p.m. at a two-story home in the 1500 block of S. Wilton Place on Feb. 6, the LAFD said in a news release. Crews operated in offensive mode and officials reported no other buildings were exposed, CBS Los Angeles reported.

The firefighter sustained injuries. The department did not immediately release further details about the firefighter’s condition or whether anyone else was hurt.

An investigation into the cause of the blaze and the circumstances of the accident is underway.
