LONDONDERRY, N.H. — A Londonderry firefighter was injured during an Oct. 2 evening house fire that was caught on video.
The Londonderry Fire Department responded to the fire on Rockingham Road at approximately 10 p.m., according to a Professional Fire Fighters of Londonderry Local 3160 social media post.
WMUR reported that Lieutenant Mike England went inside because he thought people could still be in the house before he was driven out by the fire.

Five people were inside the home at the time of the fire and had safely escaped.
England suffered a leg fracture and minor burns, and has since been released from the hospital. He said he considers himself the “luckiest unlucky guy,” given his injuries in the context of what happened.
Battalion Chief Hallowell said England didn’t realize he was injured at first and went back inside to continue fighting the fire.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
