Speaking to Sky News, deputy prime minister David Lammy revealed that he spoke to the US vice president JD Vance following his intervention about the murder of Henry Nowak. In a post on X, US Vice President JD Vance blamed "the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants" for his murder. "I disagree with him," says Lammy. "This has got nothing to do with mass migration. This young man was a Brit. Let's be clear about that." He adds: "and I said, "look, Mr Vice President, you're wrong about this."
