Gonna keep this simple today, as there really is not much to say about the area in the tropics that currently has an orange circle for possible formation as a subtropical storm. Still in the definitely maybe range, but either way it's going out to sea...to the East. IF it were to get a name from the NHC then it would be Kyle. I mean there are "things" to talk on as it's an interesting set up to learn from in that there are reasons it might develop in a different year. Even in November of 2026 it could develop into a short lived subtropical.

The image above shows the red L that stands for Low and it IS a Low sitting out there stuck underneath a strong high pressure zone. To the southwest of it there's much convection in the Caribbean that also in another year might develop into a wild coastal cruiser moving up towards the front that you can easily make out in blue that is draped across Tennessee where tremendous flooding happened this morning in McCaysville, Georgia. Yes, it is on the Tennessee/Georgia border in a beautiful part of the world and a cute town that many people travel to for it's Appalachian Mountains flavor... both cuisine wise and music wise. Sadly the set up this year is for flooding and while we were lucky hurricane wise, we still got the flooding.  And, that's the dirty little secret of El Nino. As I said early in the season El Nino brings it's own form of misery and that's usually in drought, flooding and fires. It's a mixed bag of misery.

El Nino is never fun.

And, I'll add there has been a lot of flooding

more on that late.

Back to what could be Kyle or not.

You can see the convection below Cuba.

You can see the attempts at development

It is just a messy area of convection.

We don't have an Invest yet.

If NHC puts up an Invest.

Will talk on it more.

But today....

not much to talk about

Unless you're here for winter weather

Cold fronts dipping down from Canada...

Dreams of St. Nick abound everywhere....

After a very long, hot summer ...because El Nino.

So there's a front on the way...

From Tennessee to North Carolina.

I often joke NC is Tennessee's coastal beach

Not really but when they need a beach....

..they drive East.

Or down to the Florida Panhandle.

Actually FL Panhandle looks much like NC

I'm in a silly mood today.

Gonna enjoy it

Have a good day.

Pray El Nino hits the road.

It's been a flooding pain in the neck.

And NHC needs a vacation from EPAC Storms.

They didn't get thru the whole alphabet but

.... almost there now.

Have a wonderful day.

If your weather is nice enjoy it!
