More than 50 people were hurt in the Liverpool parade car collision, police say. They believe the driver of a Ford Galaxy was "able to follow an ambulance" to avoid a road closure. A 53-year-old white man was arrested. The suspect remains in police custody and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Detective Chief Superintendent Karen Jaundrill adds he was also detained on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.
