It will house fire vehicle engine 1-4, which moved into the fire station at Huron Parkway and Platt Road after the building received a temporary certificate of occupancy, the department announced Friday on social media.
The fire department also touts it its first net zero station fire station, meaning it produces a net zero in carbon emissions per the department.
Fire Station No. 4 gives the southeast side of Ann Arbor fire protection. The department credited the mayor and the City Council for their support of the project.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.
