Benjamin Netanyahu has criticised a decision by Sir Keir Starmer to recognise a Palestinian state if Israel does not call a ceasefire in Gaza. The Israeli PM said "Starmer rewards Hamas" and claimed a "jihadist state on Israel’s border TODAY will threaten Britain TOMORROW". Sir Keir said earlier the UK would recognise Palestine in September unless Israel agreed to a ceasefire and other conditions - he also called on Hamas to release the remaining Israeli hostages.
