Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged! It’s time for our favorite cat lady to go pick out a white dress and bask in the golden glow of her fiancé era. It’s certainly not lost on us that this announcement comes at the end of their third summer together. But can we please talk about those engagement photos?

With a smile that she’s clearly not faking, the princess of pop embraces her lover, surrounded by thousands of flowers. Although Swift’s 8-carat diamond engagement ring does not, in fact, appear to be made of paper, its vintage vibe perfectly matches her red lip, classic style. But it’s not the ring that enchanted me most; it’s the bounty of incredible blooms adorning this secret garden for two. I’m dying to know what’s next!

We’ve watched their courtship take shape for a while now. But this love story is just getting started, and I’ve got one thing on my mind. What flowers will this hopeless romantic choose for her big day? I have a few ideas for Taylor Swift’s wedding flowers to make her fairytale a blooming success!

Hydrangeas

Large, rounded cluster of pristine white blossoms with tightly packed, papery petals forming a lush flower head.
Old-fashioned charm shows up in every rounded bloom.

One of Taylor’s favorite flowers is said to be hydrangeas. These fluffy floral confections play a starring role in their engagement photos. I predict that they will also feature in her wedding florals. In Japanese culture, these blooms represent heartfelt emotion, something Miss Swift is famous for.

White hydrangeas, like the ones in their announcement, symbolize purity and grace. As a woman who grew up in the American South, hydrangeas would be a classic wedding flower choice for Taylor Swift. They hold up well in arrangements and bouquets, and their abundant blooms feel lush and luxurious.

Roses

Soft pale pink blooms with many layered, cupped petals spiraling toward the center, creating a romantic, ruffled look.
Pink and cream blooms mix in a really easy way.

Roses pop up over and over in Taylor’s lyrics, and they are the dominant bloom shown in their engagement garden. Specifically, it’s filled with garden roses, with their full, layered blooms.

In Travis and Taylor’s secret garden, shades of pink, cream, and white roses spill out of large, twin urns on either side of a gazebo. The gazebo itself has climbing roses woven through. They also decorate a floral chandelier that hangs over the cozy couple.

While many of her lyrics about roses are lamentations, it’s clear that Taylor has a new appreciation for them these days. Roses symbolize love, desire, respect, admiration, joy, and purity. I would love to see this theme spill over into Taylor Swift’s wedding flowers and into happier lyrics to go with her new love story.

Delphiniums

Tall, upright stems with finely divided green leaves and dense vertical spikes covered in delicate purple-blue flowers.
Delicate petals create a graceful vertical garden feature.

Another flower I spy in the future Mr. and Mrs. Kelce’s announcement is delphiniums. These tall, elegant stems are incredibly versatile. They look amazing in a cottage garden setting, but they can also be formal and elegant.

One thing is for sure: delphiniums are nothing if not dramatic. You might say the same about us Swifties. We do love an emotional moment, and clearly Swift does, too. Pair this with their positive symbolism, and it’s obvious why she chose them for the occasion.

Delphiniums symbolize positivity, strong emotional connections, and new experiences. They’re also associated with having an open heart and linked to lightness and grace. We would love to see more of these stunning wedding flowers in Taylor Swift’s future.

Belladonna Lilies

Close-up of trumpet-shaped blooms in shades of soft pink with curved petals and long, slender stamens.
Strong stems hold clusters of delicate pink flowers.

The last flowers that stand out to me in their engagement garden are pink belladonna lilies. These beautiful members of the amaryllis genus are recipients of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. They make an amazing vertical element in floral arrangements.

With their tall, substantial stems and delicate pink blooms, these are a beautiful paradox. They are strong and sturdy plants that require little care and bloom with ease. They symbolize strength, love, beauty, and endurance, all wonderful sentiments to carry into a marriage.

Orchids

Wedding bouquet featuring cascading white orchid sprays, velvety white roses, and airy green fern leaves arranged elegantly on a fireplace.
Exotic flowers add charm to any wedding bouquet.

I’ve heard that orchids are another favorite of Taylor’s. While I don’t have confirmation, I still think these would be perfect wedding flowers for Taylor Swift, especially for a tropical destination wedding. Orchids are among the most loved plants in the world, and there are thousands of species to choose from.

Orchids are always tasteful, luxurious, and sophisticated. If Taylor and Travis decide on a tropical location for their nuptials, orchids definitely should play a role. Orchids symbolize love and fertility, as well as thoughtfulness and beauty.

Daisies

Close-up of a single daisy with crisp white petals radiating symmetrically around a golden-yellow textured center.
Their simple beauty makes every bouquet feel lively.

Daisies feature in a memorable line from one of Taylor’s steamiest love songs. We certainly don’t blame her for falling for Travis’s boyish charm and supportive disposition. We love that she’s ready to make the shift from poison ivy to one of these sweet and gentle blossoms.

Daisies lend a wildflower vibe to bouquets. Coincidentally, ‘Wildflower’ is the name of a song on her new album ‘The Life of a Showgirl.’ We would love to see her work some of these pretty flowers into her wedding florals. Daisies symbolize purity, innocence, cheerfulness, and new beginnings.

Ranunculus

Close-up of ranunculus flowers with tightly layered petals in shades from pale blush to deep pink, blending into apricot and green tones at the core.
Bright buttercup-like flowers pop up, lighting any dull corner beautifully.

Ranunculi are incredible flowers. From far away, they strongly resemble roses, but when you get close, they have a personality all their own. These members of the buttercup family have an appearance that is, in a word, delicate. They’re made up of layer upon layer of tissue-thin petals that wrap around each other endlessly.

These lovely flowers may look delicate, but they’re really quite resilient. They symbolize deep affection, charm, love, and radiance, as well as attractiveness. We would love to see this stunning couple work some radiant and alluring ranunculus blooms into their wedding florals.

Dahlias

Pair of large café-au-lait dahlias with creamy, blush-tinged petals arranged in concentric layers, creating a full, rounded bloom.
These rounded flowers bring drama without feeling overdone.

Dahlias are, typically, not the best flowers for floral arrangements that need to last more than a few days. Fortunately, wedding flowers only have a one-day requirement, and dahlias are some of the most breathtaking blooms I know of.

These varied and showy flowers symbolize beauty, steadfastness, commitment, and kindness. If that doesn’t befit a wedding perfectly, I don’t know what does. We would love to see some spectacular, dinner plate dahlias, like the famous ‘Cafe au Lait’, in the mix for Taylor Swift’s wedding flowers.

Zinnias

Clusters of white zinnia flowers with layered, symmetrical petals forming round, full blooms, standing on upright green stems with broad, slightly rough leaves.
These blooms honor absent loved ones gracefully.

Zinnias might seem like a common choice, and perhaps too casual for a wedding. They are incredibly easy to grow, and they’re not rare or expensive. That said, they are long-lasting and durable, and while they’re not hard to come by, they are quite beautiful. The reason I like zinnias as an accent for weddings is their symbolism. These annuals represent thoughtfulness of absent friends, remembrance, and lasting affection.

Adding these would be a beautiful way to observe the memory of lost loved ones. Taylor sings a beautiful tribute to her late grandmother in the song ‘Marjorie,’ and the Kelce’s are mourning the recent passing of Travis’s stepmother. The addition of zinnias as an accent is a lovely tribute to their loved ones who won’t be present at the wedding.

Jasmine

Clusters of fragrant, star-shaped white blossoms with elongated petals and glossy green leaves.
Creamy blooms offer elegance and soft fragrance.

Jasmine would be a delightful addition to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding flowers. These creamy white flowers smell incredible, and they are stunning with glossy, deep green foliage. Their symbolism varies across cultures, with love, purity, sincerity, and new beginnings being among the most popular interpretations.

Jasmine flowers are also a traditional symbol of protection. Taylor has proven herself time and again to be a strong, independent woman. A true boss. But, from the very beginning, Kelce has taken a protective and supportive role in her world. It’s been lovely to see his deep and secure affection for her. Adding jasmine to their wedding florals would be a wonderful nod to this sweet aspect of their relationship.

Lavender

Bride and groom’s hands intertwined against a backdrop of fragrant lavender spikes with soft purple blossoms stretching into the distance.Tiny flowers add color and a subtle scent.

Taylor’s album ‘Midnights’ opens with a dreamy, electropop banger entitled ‘Lavender Haze.’ The title features her favorite color and recalls a line from the popular 1950s-based series ‘Mad Men.’ Ironically, the lyrics don’t shine a positive light on the idea of getting married. Instead, she laments about the disorienting expectations of her celebrity (while crawling through a patch of delphiniums, by the way.)

Now, I know this doesn’t sound romantic, but stay with me. I think this idea could be magical. What Swift describes next is the blissful state of being with someone unfazed by all the external noise. While the rest of the world is bringing up her past, she is content to remain in this present bubble with her lover. This is a man who isn’t concerned with all the noise, but who, much like Kelce, handles it beautifully.

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I can’t help but envision this wedding taking place in a lavender field. Picture Taylor floating between the rows toward her groom in their own, spectacularly fragrant, lavender haze. Sigh. Taylor, if you’re out there, we can’t wait to see the undoubtedly spectacular florals you choose for you and Travis’s special day!
