Bangkok, Thailand — Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has officially arrived in Thailand with the opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the luxury hospitality brand’s first property in the country.

Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit
Part of Accor and developed in partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), the new hotel brings Fairmont’s signature approach to culture, connection, and celebration to one of Bangkok’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Located in Sukhumvit, the 416-room property features 58 suites and a growing collection of restaurants, bars, wellness facilities, and event spaces designed for both international travelers and the local community.
More than a place to stay, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit has been envisioned as a “blooming stage” for celebration, drawing inspiration from Thailand’s rich botanical heritage and the idea that every flower unfolds in its own time and with purpose.
A Hotel Inspired by Thailand’s Botanical Heritage
Designed by renowned Thai architecture and interior design practice PIA, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit brings floral influences into a contemporary hotel setting. Botanical details appear throughout the property in everything from artwork and sculptural elements to subtle motifs incorporated into guestrooms and public spaces.
One of the hotel’s most striking features is its dramatic lobby chandelier, inspired by the Ratchaphruek, Thailand’s national flower. The elaborate installation features 4,166 glass pieces and more than 35,000 crystal balls, creating an impressive focal point as guests enter the hotel.
The design combines the comfort of a sophisticated private residence with the energy of a modern social hub. Spaces transition easily from intimate corners for quiet moments to lively areas designed for dining, gatherings, and celebrations.
“Thailand’s gracious hospitality, rich cultural heritage, and deep-rooted appreciation for connection make it a natural home for Fairmont,” said Omer Acar, CEO of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He described the Bangkok opening as an important step in the brand’s continued expansion across Asia, following the recent debuts of Fairmont Hanoi and Fairmont Tokyo.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit BathroomA New Dining and Social Destination in Sukhumvit
Set in the heart of Sukhumvit, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit puts guests within easy reach of some of Bangkok’s best-known dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions. Inside the hotel, however, there is plenty of reason to stay put.
Food and drink are central to the property, with seven dining and entertainment venues planned to open throughout 2026.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit Harper’sHarper’s takes a fresh approach to the North American-French brasserie, combining Parisian elegance with New York-inspired sophistication. Open throughout the day, the restaurant is designed to work equally well for casual meals, business lunches, and leisurely evenings.
Meanwhile, AELA Social Bar shifts character throughout the day. It begins as a refined daytime lounge, then transforms after sunset into the hotel’s signature cocktail destination.
At CAYA Pool Club, Bangkok’s vibrant street-food culture provides the inspiration. Guests can enjoy contemporary interpretations of Thai favorites alongside creative cocktails in a relaxed poolside setting inspired by the atmosphere and flavors of the city’s famous night markets.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit Room DaytimeWiggle Room Brings Cabaret to Bangkok
A more theatrical experience is set to arrive in September with the opening of Wiggle Room, an entertainment and dining destination located beneath the hotel.
Scheduled to open in mid-September 2026, Wiggle Room will combine the glamour of classic cabaret with the energy of contemporary Bangkok. The venue will have its own private entrance at Sukhumvit Soi 18 and will feature live music, performances, cocktails, and cuisine centered around a dedicated stage.
The concept is designed as an immersive supper club where dinner becomes part of the entertainment, making it a promising addition to Bangkok’s already lively nightlife scene.
The hotel’s culinary offerings will expand again in December 2026, when two new concepts are scheduled to open across levels 32 and 33. The rooftop on level 33 will feature one restaurant blending Italian and Japanese influences with panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline, while another venue will focus on contemporary Thai cuisine and the country’s rich gastronomic traditions.
Wellness Designed Around the Whole Stay
Wellness is another important part of the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit experience. The property follows Fairmont’s Wellness Without Walls philosophy, which integrates wellbeing into different parts of the guest experience rather than limiting it to the spa and fitness center.
The hotel’s Fairmont Spa takes inspiration from jasmine, a flower closely associated with Thai hospitality and purity. The spa offers treatments designed to encourage relaxation and restoration in a peaceful setting.
For guests who prefer to stay active, Fairmont Studio provides dedicated spaces for yoga, cardio, and strength training. Fairmont Fit extends the wellness concept throughout the property with practical amenities and programming that allow travelers to maintain their routines while away from home.
The overall approach is intentionally flexible, allowing guests to choose how much—or how little—wellness they want to incorporate into their stay.
“We are delighted to welcome guests as we prepare to introduce Fairmont to Thailand for the first time,” said Jerome Lobier, General Manager of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit. “Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit is a place shaped by the energy of Bangkok and the spirit of Sukhumvit, where international travelers and the local community can come together to connect, celebrate, and experience the very best of the city.”
A Major New Venue for Meetings and Celebrations
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit is also positioning itself as a major new events destination in Bangkok, with more than 21,500 square feet (2,000 square meters) of flexible event space spread across three dedicated floors.
The hotel’s event facilities are designed for a wide range of occasions, including corporate conferences, executive meetings, weddings, gala dinners, product launches, and milestone celebrations.
The centerpiece is the Signature Grand Ballroom, which features a soaring 12-meter ceiling and a dedicated arrival forecourt designed to create a grand entrance for major events.
The events offering also includes a second ballroom, seven breakout rooms, Couture Hall, and several flexible meeting spaces. Together, these venues offer planners a range of options, from intimate private functions to large-scale gatherings.
Fairmont’s emphasis on personalized service, food, and attention to detail extends to the events experience, with the hotel aiming to make each occasion feel distinctive rather than simply providing a conventional function venue.
Designed for Families and Pet-Friendly Travelers
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit also caters to travelers bringing the whole family.
The hotel offers family-friendly accommodations and a Kids Club program that gives younger guests their own spaces and experiences during their stay.
Pet owners are also welcome. Four-legged companions weighing up to 30 kilograms are welcome on the property, with dedicated amenities designed to make traveling with pets more comfortable.
For guests seeking an elevated experience, Fairmont Gold offers the brand’s signature “hotel within a hotel” concept. Guests staying on Fairmont Gold enjoy access to a dedicated reception area, private lounge, food and beverage offerings throughout the day, and a dedicated concierge team.
The setup provides added privacy and personalized service while retaining access to the hotel’s wider facilities.
A Focus on Sustainable Hospitality
Sustainability is incorporated into the hotel’s design and operations as part of AWC’s broader “Building Better Future” mission.
Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit has been designed to LEED Gold standards and incorporates several sustainability-focused features, including biophilic design, water recycling systems, smart energy management, improved indoor air quality, electric vehicle charging facilities, and a heat-reduction façade.
These measures are intended to reduce the property’s environmental impact while creating a healthier and more comfortable environment for guests.
The approach also reflects the broader sustainability goals of Fairmont and Accor, while supporting AWC’s efforts to develop destinations that create long-term value for local communities, the environment, and future generations.
Fairmont’s New Chapter in Thailand
The opening of Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit represents a significant new chapter for the brand as it enters one of Southeast Asia’s most important tourism markets.
With its central Sukhumvit location, expansive accommodations, ambitious dining program, wellness facilities, and extensive event spaces, the hotel is designed to appeal to both leisure and business travelers while establishing itself as a social destination for Bangkok residents.
Reservations for stays beginning on or after August 18, 2026, are now open through Fairmont and ALL Accor.
For travelers looking for a new luxury base in Bangkok, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit offers a combination of contemporary design, Thai-inspired details, dining, wellness, and hospitality—all set against the energetic backdrop of Sukhumvit.
